Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Warehouse Engineer to design, develop, and implement a data warehouse from scratch. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data modeling, ETL development, and performance optimization, combined with the ability to communicate effectively in Arabic with stakeholders and technical teams.

This role will play a pivotal part in establishing our enterprise data infrastructure, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and scalable data solutions that support business intelligence, analytics, and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Warehouse Design & Development

• Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of a new enterprise data warehouse.

• Define data architecture, schemas, and integration strategies.

• Select appropriate technologies, tools, and platforms based on business and technical needs.

• ETL/ELT Development

• Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources.

• Ensure data integrity, quality, and consistency.

• Data Modeling & Optimization

• Develop logical and physical data models for analytical and reporting needs.

• Optimize queries, indexing, and storage for high performance.

• Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with business analysts, BI developers, and stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements.

• Communicate technical concepts clearly in Arabic and English to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Quality Assurance & Documentation

• Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of architecture, processes, and standards.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.

• Proficiency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).

• Proven experience designing and implementing data warehouses from scratch.

• Strong expertise in SQL and data modeling techniques (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema).

• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica, SSIS, Apache Nifi, dbt).

• Experience with relational and columnar databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).

• Knowledge of data governance, quality frameworks, and compliance standards.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

 

Preferred:

• Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).

• Background in the financial, telecom, or government sector.
